The "Woodstove MH500" hobo stove from QUECHUA, a manufacturer of Decathlon, is a robust, safe, and comfortable hobo stove. Its operation is based on the wood gasification principle; stoves of this design are also known as rocket stoves.

This model has two major disadvantages, which are compensated for by our cooking attachment:

• The mouth of the stove does not provide any storage space for small pots or cups.
• The side fire exit vents are undersized. Flames cannot escape unhindered, resulting in soot and smoke.

The cooking attachment consists of two metal sheets. They are simply slotted together and placed into the mouth of the Woodstove MH500. This creates a large storage and cooking surface, allowing the flames to escape unhindered and be deflected outward to the sides. This ensures that the pot or pan is heated evenly across the entire surface.
